Program Description
Event Details
Drop by our community room as Jess and Ronnie lead a different hands-on activity or welcome a new guest speaker each month! Intended for grades 6 and up. All materials provided by the library.
For April's program, we welcome Shannon Weaver from our own local Mountain Comprehensive Care Center! Shannon has been working at MCCC for four (4) years and has worked closely with the Mountain Haven Emergency Youth Shelter for two (2) of those.
With years of personal and work experience plus professional ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) training, Shannon has plenty to share about the autism spectrum! She's got plenty of insight for those seeking additional support, so this is a great atmosphere not only in which for kids to socialize with each other, but also for parents to find community and learn about the resources they might be missing.
