SEVERE WINTER WEATHER WARNING
Pending winter storms, a state of emergency is currently planned for the Morehead-Rowan County area beginning Sunday, January 5. During this time, travel on roads should be limited to essential personnel so first responders, highway crews, etc. can maximize access to affected areas.
The library will probably be closed Monday, January 6 as a result. Please follow us on socials and check our events calendar regularly for updates.
If you are in need of emergency shelter, the Morehead Police Department at 309 W Main St will be acting as a warming center. Officials request that you try to reach this location between 7–9pm Sunday, January 6; if there are no arrivals by 9pm, the warming center will be closed.
