Event Details
Calling all storytellers: We want you to be a part of our second Story Slam event! Put your name in the hat for a chance to tell your five (5)-minute family-friendly story. You can sign up November 6 through 10 or prior to the event on November 17.
A panel of three (3) judges will assign each storyteller up to 10 points based on the story itself, delivery of the story, and the overall effect or audience reaction. We're aiming to give as many people as possible a chance to take the stage during this program, but be aware that drawing randomly means there's no guarantee everyone will get a turn if we have lots of storytellers! The first half-hour will be reserved for our youth storytellers from the Kentucky Storytelling Association's Youth Torchbearers program.
The judges and scorekeeper will announce first-, second-, and third-place winners prizes when the slam ends. Each winner will get a free day pass to the 2024 Cave Run Storytelling Festival, plus one other prize of their choice from a selection of storytelling swag!
