CLOSED DUE TO SEVERE WINTER WEATHER

Due to winter storms, a state of emergency is currently in effect for the Morehead–Rowan County area. During this time, travel on roads should be limited to essential personnel so first responders, highway crews, etc. can maximize access to affected areas.

The library is CLOSED January 6–8 as a result. We will be open to the public Thursday, 1/9 from 12–5pm.

If you are in need of emergency shelter, the Morehead Police Department at 309 W Main St will be acting as a warming center. Officials request that you try to reach this location between 10:45am–4pm during the day, or 7–9pm for night hours.

Join Megan and Ronnie for a 24-person Mario Kart tournament! Register for free below or by phone and be part of our bracket as you compete for the 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place prizes. There'll be food, party favors, and more as you snag powerups to cross the finish line first!

But beware...like every good video game, this one has a boss waiting at the end: The final competitors will have to face our Teen Librarian, Megan, as she puts the pedal to the metal in Daisy's kart! Do you have what it takes to face the speed boosts, shortcuts, twists, and turns of the Library Circuit and claim the coveted cup?
