Purpose of Meeting
We will be embleming quilt squares that were naturally dyed using indigo and golden rod. All community members are invited and material will be provided.
This is a project that KYTenants and East KY CLT is sponsoring to bring people together to talk about "What Home Means to Them". This is a cultural education program.
Artist Kat Smith will demonstrate and show a powerpoint about how to embellish quilt squares. We will have some fabric and fabric markers that can be used. You are also welcome to bring your own materials.
When we are finished we will be making a quilt out of all the squares and hanging it at the KY Folk Art Museum and other places between here and Lexington.
